Google has announced that they have come under attack from hackers from china resulting in intellectual property theft. As part of the main investigation Google found that the attack was not just aimed at them but was also aimed at other sectors such as finance, media and technology, however they have claimed that the security breaches were outside of their infrastructure. In hindsight of this Google has said that they will be monitoring there polices for china.
Google have very recently announced real time search to compete with the other real time players such as Twitter and Bing. Google have done a very good job of this and is well organised and laid out.
Google have spent a heck of a lot of time in doing this and have an advanced algorithm behind this.
Now in my opinion, I think it’s soon going to become a big ranking factor for the Google SERPs such as how many people have mentioned your site in Twitter, Digg’s, Delicious Bookmarks etc.
